Liz has worked on the PCS project at AED since 1996. She has worked on
a variety of training and project management activities, including the following:

Technical assistance to the Rwanda HIV/AIDS
project for IEC capacity building and PLWHA activities.

Training of AIDS Helpline Counselors in
South Africa.

Development and management of the Healthy
Futures project, which aimed to reduce primary school drop out among Kenyan
girls;

Co-authorship of a training manual on
Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) in collaboration with the Centre
for African Family Studies (CAFS) in Nairobi. Pretesting of the manual
in Kenya, Haiti and Cameroon.

Development of a Senegal version of the
JHU/PCS computer program SCOPE and in-country training on
its use;
Liz is proficient in both French and Spanish.
She received her M.P.H. from Emory University in 1994 with a concentration
in international health, and she received her bachelor's degree in French
from Georgetown University in 1991. She has been certified as a Red Cross
HIV/AIDS instructor and currently volunteers as an HIV test counsellor
with the Washington Free Clinic.
Her past professional experience has included
work with Population Services International, CARE, John Snow, Inc. and Amex International.
